Restaurant and café renovation in Dubai
Restaurants combine a customer-facing space with a working kitchen. Front of house gets the finishes — ceilings, feature walls, floors, lighting; back of house gets washable tiles, epoxy floors, drainage and the plumbing and electrical loads a kitchen needs. Both have to pass inspection before opening.
What the job includes
- Exposed painted ceilings or gypsum ceilings with feature lighting
- Glass partitions, screens and shopfront
- Tile, wood-effect SPC or epoxy floors
- Kitchen wall and floor tiling with coved skirtings and floor drains
- Plumbing, grease-trap connections and water supply
- Electrical distribution for kitchen equipment
- Painting, panelling and branding areas
What changes the quotation
So the estimate makes sense before the site visit.
- Whether the kitchen layout and drainage change
- Municipality and food-control requirements for finishes
- Extraction and AC routes through the ceiling
- Opening date and phasing

Questions we get asked
Which kitchen finishes pass Dubai Municipality inspection?
Washable, light-coloured, non-absorbent surfaces: tiled or epoxy floors with coved edges, tiled or panelled walls to the required height, and sealed ceilings. The company builds to those requirements as standard.
Can you renovate a café without closing it?
For cosmetic work, often yes, in sections outside trading hours. Kitchen and drainage work generally needs a closure, which is planned to be as short as possible.
