Most flooring failures come from the base, not the finish. The sequence below is why the quotation separates preparation from installation.

Strip out and inspect the base
Old finish removed, substrate checked for level, hollow spots, moisture and cracks.

Prepare or screed
Levelling screed, self-levelling compound or compacted sub-base for external paving, depending on the finish.

Set out
Lines and falls are marked so cuts land where they are least visible and water drains where it should.

Install the finish
Tiles, marble, planks, carpet tiles, interlock or resin laid to the set-out, with expansion gaps and edge details.
05
Grout, seal, clean and hand over
Joints finished, protective film or sealing where needed, site cleaned and left ready to use.
